Why people come here here

Life builds up on us. The stress, the expectations, the things we never really dealt with. Maybe you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or carrying grief that still echoes. Maybe you're stuck in the same arguments with your partner, or feeling the distance in ways you can’t ignore anymore.

You don’t need to have the right words.
You just need somewhere to
start.

What we do here

We’re a trauma-informed psychotherapy practice in Ancoats, Manchester, offering in-person and online therapy for adults, young people, and couples.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the problem itself, it’s the noise around it.

The overthinking.

The pressure to hold everything together.

The stories you’ve carried from childhood or past relationships.

Our work is about getting beneath that noise, to what’s actually happening underneath, and to what needs attention.

Individually or as a couple.

Together, we can figure out what comes next.

Who I am

I’m Krista: a therapist, but first and always, a human who knows what it’s like to hold things in.

Maybe you’ve spent years holding it together on the outside, showing up, pushing through, while something quieter underneath keeps pulling at you. Maybe you’ve been told you’re “strong,” but no one ever asked what that strength cost you.

I get it, not just from training, but from lived experience. Therapy, for me, was the first place it felt safe enough to stop performing strength and start being real. That’s why this work matters to me. That’s why Beneath the Noise exists.

It’s not about fixing you. It’s about meeting the parts of you that got silenced, pushed down, or lost in the noise, and learning how to listen to them. Not perfectly. Not quickly. But honestly.
